The Jama Masjid is a huge architecture offering a 25000 capacity for the visitors. The Masjid is spread across 1200 sq metres. It features three gateways, four towers, and two 40-metre-high minarets.

 5.) Gurudwara Sis Ganj Sahib

The famous Chandni Chowk area is home to the famous Gurudwara sis Ganj Sahib. The gurdwara was built by Baghel Singh in 1783 who was the then Military General in Punjab Cantonment. The Gurudwara was built as a martyrdom site for the ninth Sikh Guru Tegh Bahadur who was killed on the orders of Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

The place is a devotional site for the Sikh community. Notably, the Sikh Regiment of the Indian army salutes at the Sis Ganj Sahib before saluting the Indian President. The history of this Gurudwara has been controversial during British rule. However, the British favoured the Sikh community and allowed the Sikhs to rebuild it again.

6.) Raj Ghat

The Raj Ghat in Old Delhi is dedicated to the father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi Ji. This is a devotional place for the people who believe and follow the Gandhian philosophy of Truth, Triumph, and Non-violence. 

A simple black marble stone is at the centre which is the exact place where the body of Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. This gives this place more meaning & depth. 

Notably, this is a place where memorials of many other people like K.R. Narayan, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Lal Bahadur Shastri ji, and Chandra Shekhar were established as well. 

Notably, on the North side of this memorial, you will see a wood area named ‘The Forest of Peace’ which is dedicated to Jawahar Lal Nehru Ji. 

Raj Ghat was built in 1948 today is one of the devotional places to visit near Old Delhi Railway Station. Gandhi Ji was assassinated on Friday so each Friday management holds a prayer meeting here.
